Snowcat Skiing
Includes: A half-day of guided backcountry skiing or snowboarding, breakfast at The Forklift with your guides, a pre-public resort warm-up (when conditions allow) and a lift ticket
Terrain: North-facing, forested terrain of Sinners Pass and Pagan Basin, and the primarily south-facing slopes of Mary Ellen Gulch, depending on conditions.
Skill Level: Skiers and snowboarders should be advanced or intermediate. They must be confident skiing off-piste terrain in powder and varying snow conditions.
Time: Meet your guides at 7:15 am outside The Forklift (Snowbird Center, Plaza Deck, Level 3). You will return to Snowbird by 1 pm.

Guided Backcountry Skiing & Snowboarding utilizes specialized equipment that can transition between uphill and downhill modes to allow you to experience human-powered skiing or snowboarding in terrain outside the ski resort. This guided experience is geared toward advanced skiers or snowboarders who are willing to tour uphill.

Guided Backcountry Skiing
Includes: A guided day in the backcountry and a packed lunch from General Gritts.
Skill Level: All participants should be advanced skiers or snowboarders in physical condition for a high-altitude exertion and must be able to tour uphill with climbing skins on their skis or splitboard.
Time: Meet your guides at 8 am at The Mountain Center (Snowbird Center, Plaza Deck, Level 3).
Required Equipment: Alpine touring skis or splitboard, climbing skins, transceiver, avalanche shovel, probe and backpack are required. Mammut transceiver, backpack, shovel and probe are included in the cost, but guests may also use their own gear if preferred. Touring skis and climbing skins are available to rent at Snowbird–please contact us for more information.

Your guide will lead you on your journey while sharing tips and tricks for a great day outside. Guided Snowshoe Tours allow you to explore nature's winterscape outside of Snowbird's ski resort boundary and take in the phenomenal views of the snow-covered peaks and the Salt Lake valley.

Guided Snowshoeing
Includes: Snowshoes and poles for the duration of the tour.
Time: Tours begin at 1 pm. They return to Creekside Lodge at 3:30 pm.
Location: Creekside Lodge, Level 2. (Outside of the Ticket Office)
Skill Level: All levels of snowshoeing experience are welcome.
Required Equipment: We recommend wearing snow boots or heavy duty hiking shoes and layered clothing. Remember sunscreen and water.
